Local Restore
Follow these instructions if you wish to restore a file or a folder from the computer that is doing the backing up.
1. Launch the CrashPlan Pro application. You can find it in your Applications folder.

2. Click on the Restore tab on the left hand menu.

3. You can either search for a particular file in the search field, or browse for it in the file browser.

4. Tick the checkbox next to the files or folders you wish to restore.

5. Click on the grey triangles to navigate deeper through your folders. You will see this triangle next to files too. This is because each file will have several versions – a snapshot of that file at any particular date and time. If you cannot find a file, tick the Display Deleted files box to reveal files that have previously been deleted.
6. At the bottom of the file browser, you will have several restore options. Click on the underlined words to see further options, such as where the files will be restored to (either to their original location on your computer, or a specific folder).

7. Click on Restore to send CrashPlan Pro into action as it prepares the selected files and folders. The restored files will automatically be downloaded and placed in its correct place, wherever you chose in the previous step.
